It's One Year!

September 04,2012

HAPPY ONE YEAR BLOGGY!

I can't believed it!(over!) A year had passed since the day I've created this blog. One year of laughter, sadness, failures and success posts I had shared here. And reminiscing such events made me teary eyed, tears of joy dolls, I've been here for this long! One of the greatest accomplishment I've done for myself which I thought I really can't. So, September is a special month for me and opted to make entries this month dedicated to my blog's anniversary.

Lets go back in time, one year ago.. when I've felt and discovered what was my other passion. I've made this, which I'm calling a "Virtual Diary"- accounts of anything I would love to write. To be honest, I don't have a knack in writing and I'm not pretty good in expressing myself in English (shame on me). A product of pester every time I stutter lol. Whatever it is, I can't imagine myself fit in this world before, but not for now =)

So, whats the ground of making such this? What's the force that pushes me to create one? Adventures and travel epilogues are part of the reason, but it wasn't the major one. It was for DIVERSION, yes, you read it right.

Last year, I was in a state of emotional anguish. Though I had work before to keep me busy still, It does not amend a painful sorrow (getting emotional here) haha. It was hard to overcome an event such like that and so, I want my dynamism to be burn in a sensible activity. With the help of my friend who is also a blogger, she recommended me this and told me to write all my accounts in travel and adventures or, anything under the sun. And ola! I just discovered that I have talent for this. As time goes by, I'm getting good and becoming a better writer ,and I can express myself well now. What a blessing in disguise! =)

and I want to share this pic - the awesome " I CAN"  =)

Thumbs up for my little introvert self. What a wonderful year it is! Hoping for more years and posts to come!

BYE work

I've already decided! I will step down on my work this March 11,2012
it took me so long to decide on this matter.
WORKING and EARNING is an important matter for me.
I don't wanna be JOBLESS.
but of course, I don't want to be left behind with my course.
The NURSING course.

Ive worked in a call center before but didn't finished my training because I didn't like it.
I surrendered, quit and AWOL! haha
and from that on.. I realized I don't fit in a call center world.
Then Ive found out another hiring - a Cebu Pacific GSA in Davao City.
Luckily even with a far related course, I was hired.
For the last 2 years here in Summit World- Ive met new friends, learn a lot of lesson
become more discipline and become extrovert over my introvert life.
This was my FIRST OFFICIAL JOB- a TICKET RESERVATION AGENT.

this has became my second home.
and of course, I would exactly missed my office mates, my table , my computer, haha
talking to different people, got scolded because of wrong bookings,
making reports, keeping up cashier's money.
This was all OFFICE WORK! :)

and on the other side...another thought...
I do missed NURSING

.....................................................

me and Elyn - partners in crime! Miss Internationals! :)

I'll miss you all :)

Thoughts

CHOS!
I couldn't understand my feelings today.
I can't explain the mix feeling of HAPPINESS + having THE SECOND THOUGHT
of the said UNEXPECTED EVENT.

You know what happened??
I just got promoted to a REGULAR EMPLOYEE!

IS THIS CONGRATULATIONS?? OR WHAT??

A few months ago I already had a definite decision , and that is to resign on Feb 2012!
( no thoughts of becoming a regular one)
I even booked a flight going to Manila on March next year for 1 week!
knowing that I'll be free already from work starting on March first.
.............................
and then the overwhelming event happened
and now, I get perplexed on what to do....
I want to become a nurse next year coz I was thinking of being so behind already
but, being regular in a work today is a one chance of a lifetime -it means, I was trusted by our company.

Oh Lord, you know whats in my heart and what I desire.
I've been always praying for my career - and asking for you're guidance oh dear Jesus
that I may able to have a consistent decision on this matter
GOD SPEED!

Chef Ysay :)

Hi friends!

I've always getting joy of watching any cooking shows, amazed with any recipe come up from different
chef's and always wanted to taste those mouth watering dish on my own mouth! (yummy!)
Being a registered nurse (who is not pursuing it now), a front-liner of a known lost cost airline,
and a adventurer (who likes to travel, explore and try out new things)- I also wanted to become a CHEF :)

Having the passion of facing a stove, get heated on a pot, whisk of heated-oil on skin, slicing onions and
garlic that cause me tears, go on wet market to buy meat or fish - was always been part of me :)
Our family was a family of cooks haha I really don't bask at it , we are just really gifted and I think we
have the edge to become CHEF's LOL haha
When I was still young, I was already trained to do stuff like that on the kitchen and eventually,
I kept it up to now :)

My favorite dish to cook is carbonara and any pasta. I'd like to make a dessert also (since I'm fond of sweets) and the thing I always wanted to learn -- BAKING :)

The question is, why do I want to become a CHEF and study to any culinary school??
Not just being fascinated on cooking programs, having interests on the kitchen and recipes,
but also being a Chef requires you to become INDEPENDENT and shows your CREATIVITY.
Why do I say so? because cooking is an ART also. When you COOK, you CREATE something-
something UNIQUE with delicate flavor and tastes. And as you cook your own dish you have the
AUTONOMY on what you will do. As a chef, it requires you to do something out of your own
thought and imagination and not just being dictated by others- that's why you came up with what you
call a signature dish :)

anyhoo, one can always be a chef "in there own way" - its not always necessary to have proper
training on cooking such as enrolling on those expensive culinary school- since having
proper certificates on trainings and studies are just extra credits :) but most important thing
is that you have the passion and you love what you're doing and everything else will follow :)
Even appreciations and claps from your friends and family who tasted your dish
is an overwhelming event already :)

Happy cooking and eating
Bon Appetit!

Is NURSING Still for ME????

As far as i remember, way back highschool years at Assumption I never thought to myself becoming a nurse in the future. It was really being an accountant, or masscom student I want in college well, in line of medicine as a physical therapist was my choice also (but not so). It was then when i was in senior high that all students boggling already where to study in college and what course to be taken up.. and me ,i stay quite. Nursing at that time was in bloom and was so famous ,and it was peer influences i guess that i ended up this course since most of my friends enrolled nursing. And that was the memorable moment I let nursing enter my life. I don't know if i regreted the decision or not.
I graduated nursing and passed the liscensure exam but i was not working as a nurse now. Just as we graduate , the popularity and demands declined and my mindset that time was to find a job whether or not nursing.. and fortunately i was hired! in an AIRLINE company... too far from my field (i know). I don't want to be jobless that's why, but it was so difficult to be employed as a nurse this time you need to train up and pay for training and still 50-50 absorption to the job! That's too harsh only hospitals will benefit from you. It was 2 years already since i'd rest from my field and if I want it again i don't know if i can still remember or forget already, or there may be possibilities of mistakes if I'm in the field. Anyway anything can be RE-learned :). Perhaps now I still got dilemma whether or not to pursue nursing though sometimes I can't help myself missing it  and getting jelly with my friends who are staff nurses already :(. Pursuing it means resigning on my job today and be officially jobless again. My family want me to work in the hospital, but not forcing me though its just like- reminding me always-with those soft whisper in my ears "mag-hospital kana" and sometimes cause me to be annoyed and pressured already.
.. Since most of my friends took nursing and supported by their families with a thought that their children may have brighter future  (which i thought so). But the peak has its end, mass of seething nurses are unemployed. Discerning on the options:  my recent work or being a nurse. I guess the important thing for me now is I have work (something to be busy with) and I'm earning, saving but i plan to step down next year to pursue nursing and its still an abyss what will happen on my next years life. I hope I may survive seeking job as a N-U-R-S-E and now again I'm making this long paragraph storytelling all about my career. hehe nah.. I just let God hold of my future. GOD speed!

LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST! :)
