Boracay All the Best Summer 2013

Howdy friends!

As we embraced 2013, I also embraced the fact that I'm travelling again. Darn, it was a year already that my last plane ride happened. So, since I'm financially capable again to fuel my trips, I embarked on my first year's journey to .... BORACAY.

Summer's the best vacation- and so Boracay is our first choice. Who can resists the powdery white sand and pristine clear blue waters of Boracay?? well for me , none. Together with my workmate Cherish last April 25-28, 2013, we made Boracay vacay a memorable one.

Our trip was at 0715AM , Davao- Kalibo of Cebu Pacific, we arrived at Kalibo a little too early than the expected time.

CHERISH's FIRST PLANE RIDE . At Davao International Airport

KALIBO's INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Just en route to Boracay Island, without experiencing and stepping yet on the white beach , was a pocket-aching event already.  We need to shell out alot of cash to pay in a lot of things :( . Cherish who is a noob in travels keeps on complaining regarding these stuff. "Anu bayan, di pa tayo nakakaabot sa Bora almost one thou na ang gastos ko." haha.. I already anticipated those events since, prior the flight I already read different blogs about "how to go to Boracay" stuff like that . I just held out a deep breath while giving my money away :( .

Caticlan's Jetty port. During that time, the place was soooo crowded, I swear. ^.^

About to proceed to our boat.

It looks like inside the plane, right? haha.. This was inside the boat. A bit cozy.

We just arrived in Boracay Island! @ Cagban Port

It was really an exhausting trip. The plane travel, almost two hours Kalibo- Caticlan road trip with a nagger driver, super crowded Caticlan Jetty port, the lots of cash out, the long walk to our accom and count on the HEAT! Yes! It's summer, why am I complaining? LOL. Anyhow, all of those mentioned was worth all the long way travel to the island.. When we saw the beach! yeah dolls the B-E-A-C-H!!

It was amazing!!! sooo wonderful!! Me and Cherish was astonished and mesmerized by the beach. We keep on saying, "wow" , "ganda naman", "oohhh I can't wait to dive in!" Yes we said that on loud voices that people around looks at us. haha . Who cares?? No one knows us here hehe.

WE PAY FOR THE BEACH and EXPERIENCE

Oh yes! ever since, I was not a grandiose traveler. I don't pay for expensive hotel or accommodation, I pay for the beach itself and for the experienced! So months of researched about the affordable hotel/inn/accom, OCEAN BREEZE INN in Station 3 was the choice. Its not beach front, so you need to walk about 2-3 minutes going to the beach. I don't care,  as long as we are safe, comfortable and on budget. The hotel cost us php890 per night (NIPA cottage room- good for two persons) since it was peak season. However, when off season (June- October) expect a lower rate. I liked the place plus the staffs are friendly and accommodating. Sure thing!

Our room's facade, with the model LOL!! :)

The veranda.

Our beds. My bed was a queen sized bed and for Cherish was a single sized bed haha..

We have our private bathroom .

Since we arrived at around 11AM and the check-in time is still at 2PM, we just left our baggage's and stroll around Boracay!! We need to familiarized the place, Cherish's celebrity hunting and of course, part of it was the photo-op session hehe . Can I let the pictures do the talking here??

I wasn't able to experienced Paraw Sailing :( I promised to do this when I get back to Boracay :)

haha.. Cherish plan came true! chos..

I don't want to miss the Sunset in Boracay. So romantic! ♥

ohh... so this is how D*mall looks like at night. See those people?? haha

Sand Castle at night! ^.^ We found this out at Station 1, so far! made my face so oily haha!

The Pyromaniacs in Bora :))

It was a wrap at our first day in Boracay! I will make another posts on Water activities and ATV ride, and  the Puka Beach sunbathing experienced haha.  Who would have wonder , that walking from Station 3-1 and vice versa was AMAZIINNGG?!? haha..  Our legs was definitely aching! Cherish was complaining leg pain after. Oh so Boracay!!  =) I can't fend for pips who leave their heart at Boracay hehe. See you on my next posts!

Solitary- Can I make it??

April 11,2013

Its quite sometime now that I haven't been to a "new place". My feet's itching..itching to travel again! ^.^

I really want to try SOLO -TRAVEL. This may sound scary right? but mind you there are lots of lots of women who already did this, including my girl friend :) These women are impressive. I admire their courage and bravery to travel alone.  They never worry of the potholes on the road, they just keep going on to the journey.

This really interests me much.  I've been to different places already, but most are  traveled with group. Since I'm a fan of  challenges and love adventures, possibility of solo travel will most likely  to happen :)

I think being alone on such a journey is not really lonely at all. There are always possibility of meeting new people along the way. Conversing with locals. Enjoying the view. Take pictures. I think there are lots of things to do even if your alone minus the compromising act you always do when in group right? :) Its great that sometimes solitary life may come visit you. :)

I think when your alone you may reflect more. You may be able to appreciate even small details. Even if it made you broke, the experience is priceless. Its considering levels of fun and challenge that may come along. That sounds exciting!

I hope solo travel will happen the soonest, still crossing my fingers.

Travelling is just not living and growing the length of your life even living and growing the width of it. :)

Remembering 2012 and Welcoming New Year

December 31 ,2012

Howdy Dolls? Time passes so fast right? How many hours from now , we will end up 2012 and welcome the year 2013. Hows your 2012 ? I guess there are lots of things or events that put marks in your life. I do have also, and I want to thank God for all those things, whether it made me cry or laugh.

I thought this year is my year. The thought of being a "Dragon" baby will give me lucky charms. However, I think this year was a struggling - glorious year. What does it mean? I was struggling when it comes to my career. STILL. No good news. I resigned to my previous job to took up nursing but seven months of being jobless wasn't a great idea anymore.I need to find a job! and OLA! I got one, but not as a nurse. Nevertheless, I still welcome the thought of being one. Glorious on the other hand , because of the seven months out of work I became closer to our GOD. I got ministered in music and even learned to play some instruments. I became productive, not just on talents but even spiritually.

Hey dolls! Not to mention on Travels and Adventures! :) I've been always grateful for the chance of Travelling, Exploring, and Adventures. Lists of places to go, and adventures to try is always full. I've been happy also to met people who have the same passions with me like Joann, Manny, Tony , Shing and Zaldy. People that inspires me to do what I want and love. I was in the thought of the greatest regret aren't the things you've done but the things you didn't do. I was just taking chances for this, I don't know when will I ever got to do it. I guess that made sense :) The LUZON trip was amazing and unforgettable. The days where I keep on coming back to IGACOS are awesome. To try the minor climb was a dream come true (APO's going to be next). A 24 hour trip to Saranggani and South Cotabato was crazy however it was fun! :) Looking forward for more travels next year!

Thank you Lord for this year. Thank you for my family. Thanks for the friendship. Thanks for the talents. Thanks for the opportunities and blessings. May the coming year be more fruitful and glorious.

I pray that you may heal aching hearts Lord. May the people that are affected of the Typhoon Pablo find peace and strengthen them as they face the new year. May you guide all my love ones. I bring back all the praises and adoration.

And here are some of my NEW YEAR'S favorite Bible Verses

    * 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
    * Isaiah 40:31Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.
    * Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

It's One Year!

September 04,2012

HAPPY ONE YEAR BLOGGY!

I can't believed it!(over!) A year had passed since the day I've created this blog. One year of laughter, sadness, failures and success posts I had shared here. And reminiscing such events made me teary eyed, tears of joy dolls, I've been here for this long! One of the greatest accomplishment I've done for myself which I thought I really can't. So, September is a special month for me and opted to make entries this month dedicated to my blog's anniversary.

Lets go back in time, one year ago.. when I've felt and discovered what was my other passion. I've made this, which I'm calling a "Virtual Diary"- accounts of anything I would love to write. To be honest, I don't have a knack in writing and I'm not pretty good in expressing myself in English (shame on me). A product of pester every time I stutter lol. Whatever it is, I can't imagine myself fit in this world before, but not for now =)

So, whats the ground of making such this? What's the force that pushes me to create one? Adventures and travel epilogues are part of the reason, but it wasn't the major one. It was for DIVERSION, yes, you read it right.

Last year, I was in a state of emotional anguish. Though I had work before to keep me busy still, It does not amend a painful sorrow (getting emotional here) haha. It was hard to overcome an event such like that and so, I want my dynamism to be burn in a sensible activity. With the help of my friend who is also a blogger, she recommended me this and told me to write all my accounts in travel and adventures or, anything under the sun. And ola! I just discovered that I have talent for this. As time goes by, I'm getting good and becoming a better writer ,and I can express myself well now. What a blessing in disguise! =)

and I want to share this pic - the awesome " I CAN"  =)

Thumbs up for my little introvert self. What a wonderful year it is! Hoping for more years and posts to come!

Aqua Fun at MAXIMA

August 30,2012

One of the best beach adventure I had was going to Maxima @ IGACOS. It was August 20,2012 when our family decided to trip-out in one of  IGACOS famous resort. Excited as we are, since no one of us have been to this place before, it was all first time! hehe

Going to Maxima can be via bus or boat. We chose boat since its hassle free and direct to the resort itself. We went to Sta. Ana Wharf  near Magsaysay Park @ 7:30 am but the boat is still 9:00am (excited?) so, we've waited. The boat capacity was 70 persons and it traveled twice a day only (going to maxima and going back @ 4:00 pm ). It was 30 minutes ride going to the resort and en route, our eyes wandered to the vast see and to the island of IGACOS.

FEELING CAPTAIN!!
WHILE WAITING ON SOME LATE PASSENGERS!
Mr. Sunshine was in its peak when were finally near the resort, and my heart beat faster and got excited more when I saw the slides! haha :)

ONE OF THE WATER SLIDES
PICTURE TAKING WITH LITTLE  COUSINS :)
As we walk down the boat going to the entrance, the process was challenging :) The bridge is not supported below by a concrete foundation, I think it was supported with big drums? so it floats. When your going to step on the bridge, tendency is it will move and you may lost balance so, hold on the railings tightly or else, you'll fall to the water hahaha

THE CHALLENGING BRIDGE!

Entrance fee is php200 for adult, php150 for 5-12 years old and below 5 years old is free. Inclusion of open cottages, unlimited slide with free used of life vest, and take note, its not allowed to swim if you will not wear one. The blue water part was estimated 120 feet. :)

THE OTHER WATER SLIDE
My little cousins enjoyed swimming and we don't worry much of drowning since their wearing life vests :)

we also headed to the banana boat and unluckily we cannot go up LOL

I CAN'T JUMP HERE.. HEHE
TIRED BUT STILL SMILE ^.^
I only did once the slide since after it,the back of my left leg was really hurt and ended up with a large bruise:( Did it only for experienced, but to tell you honestly I was really scared at the slide ahaha.

Canopy walking was also part of the outdoor adventure in Maxima. Again, I need to conquer my fear of heights lol. Basically shouting was really blatant haha and my guide wasn't really guiding me at all! He is busy with the first three individual and I got irritated at him also. However, I just did my best in crossing on to the bridge with shaky legs lol. And the last part was a tree drop and I think it is even more scary than canopy walk! :P

The verdict?? I enjoyed it though my leg was injured and got SUNBURN!! :)

IGACOS 2: Hagimit Falls

July 26,2012
.......
After the Monfort Bat Cave / Sanctuary experienced (here) we headed up to Hagimit Falls at Penaplata, IGACOS.
Again, we need to ride on a motorcycle grr.. a little longer travel, somehow the road was concrete so it was not butt aching. We paid php 60.00 from Bat Cave to Hagimit :). It was an admirable day and the sun was up and I'm sweating a little. So I'm just really excited to be in the place and to jump off the water :-) .

SOME STORES OUTSIDE
When we arrived at the place, were not anymore shocked. haha What I mean is that, the entrance fee wasn't that very pocket aching lol. Entrance fee was php 40.00 (the price I'm expecting). Anyhow if you want snacks to pig in, you can buy some on the stores outside.
But before you can go to the falls itself (various ones present) you need to trek a little, don't worry its going down and concrete stairs are present. hehe I love the feeling of nature here. :) I love the greens, all are alive!
DORA, ESTE JOANN F. HEHE

WELCOME LADIES! :)

MY TWINS TIRED
Goofing around the place, we've noticed some bizzare formations and designs. So we let our cameras get busy! I'll let the pictures do the talking here ^.^

A BIT CREEPY PIC HERE

ETO NA MGA PARS AND MARS!

ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOT :)  WHAT THEY CALL THE "HYDRO MASSAGE"

Anyhow the water that time wasn't pleasing to my eyes. I have doubts to dive in. The water's color seems extinct. (dead? meh ganun!) So I just spent time wetting myself and enjoying the hydro massage :) A body reviving massage from the motorcycle ride but, cause me at end HEADACHE!!!huhu. Somehow the scenery is great! I can sleep here the whole afternoon! LOL

One thing that we noticed here is that, the place was divided into different resorts/owner. So you have choices where to stay and pick up cottages (necessary for your things) but you can swim anywhere you like. Mahal Forest Resort was our choice and we've paid the cheapest cottage (umbrella type one) of php 70.00 haha, inclusive used of shower room and any of their amenities.

THE UMBRELLA COTTAGE

MAHAL'S  OWN EXIT- ONLY FOR THEIR GUESTS

THE TOP VIEW

AND WERE GOING HOME :)

From Hagimit to Home ?? HEADACHE is still present :(
Maybe because of my growling tummy that time. LOL
But, a day after Joann got skin rushes tsk2...
