Dahilayan Adventure Park Trip

At last!! can I scream more?? AT LAASSST!!!! hehe
Knowing the adventure finder and adrenaline lover me, I couldn't get myself relax when we went in Bukidnon. A road trip with my workmates was amazing and so, conquering Dahilayan Adventure Park was a terrific experienced. Another errand was crushed out on my bucket list - happy me ^.^

A 24 hour ++ travel happened last Independence day, where it's holiday bebe! Everyone's free and kicking hehe.Meet up place was outside the office at 2am! Time wasn't strictly followed since everyone came late (including me. Blimey! ). We had couple of stop overs for photo opps, of course we don't want to missed some good sites enroute to Bukidnon ^.^

It was around 8am when we arrived at the park. An overwhelming sunny day and cool wind approached us. Jacket's a sure thing unless, your have high tolerance to cold . We rented a cottage worth php 200 since we have lots of things and foods to put out from the van. After arranging everything, photo-op moments started around the park. Let me share ya these... :)

Well dolls, the highlight for this adventure is the famous "DROPZONE". Even before this travel was planned by our company, I already dreamt for this ride to happen. This dropzone is much similar to the "Plunge" of Bohol that drops and do some pendulum swing (which I also dream of doing in the future, still crossing fingers for this). The Dropzone having the height of 120feet, could be on "singles" or "tandem". Single could shell you out php 500 and for tandem is php750. Since I already booked Charm, my workmate to be my partner in the ride, we only paid php 375 each (save yeah!) Charm and I decided to ride on Dropzone and flying gizzard  (php250) but at last part , we decided to change latter into Rope Course, thank God we are allowed to do so :) .

To let our mixed emotions let go of our bodies, cause it makes me freaking scared already, we first ride on dropzone. It's not crowded on the place when we made the ride, so it's not hesitant for us to get so noisy with all our screams and shouts as we are about to get higher and higher and dropped in just a blink of an eye. I even cried because of being scared (yes I cried on the dropzone lol!). We are swinged how many times until we finally go on still , hays thank God. Acrophobia is my other petpeeve cause it will make my knees jelly! :(  I had to fight that nuisance and to make sure that dropzone will be an epic event for me, and so it was... :)
Of course, we need evidence for this ride... we had our certificates!! ^.^

After that shaking moments with the Dropzone, we went on the humble Rope Course ^.^ oh I think the Humble-but unfriendly rope course haha. At the first look, the Rope course is very quite and very easy. When I tried it, it was out I think of! Totally different! It was two levels, and during the first level my knees on jelly again. There was a moment I'm about to surrender still on the first level (boo!) Thank God for the coaches/cheerer below - the audiences that helped us to overcome the obtacles hehe. You know, after seeing us they bought tickets and they tried it also! haha
I was afraid, I confessed it.. so, I did not tried anymore the second level. I just let Charmil made it to the end! wooo.. I'm so proud of you spidy girl! hehe

Yeah baby! my energy that  day was drained! hehe.. but I did not regretted it.. :) Since Cagayan de Oro is just 1-2 hours away from Bukidnon, we made a side trip to the city. We did not stayed long there but our van encountered a problem so the driver fixed it first :(. To kill time we walked around the city and bought VANDEP Pastel for pasalubong :)

At Camp Philips Bukidnon

We got to go at around 5pm already and this time, I've been looking forward to doozing off but couldn't. We are seated at the colum next to the driver's seat. We are five and it's been difficult to sleep since we are like sardines :( The following columns anyway, are lucky enough, cause they have enough space to shut their eyes. I only take forty winks which I complained because I need a DEEP sleep dolls! lol

Going back Davao was scary since it was really dark and heavy rain poured the way :( There's also a man just pop out in the middle of the road that scares the hell out of us! hehe gee..Anyhow, pretty enough to know that dinner could be on our way home, we just stopped at Malaybalay, Bukidnon to pig in. We make sure that the beloved driver is on his sound mind and full tummy to drive us to home.. SAFE! :)
It was 12mn that we finally got to Davao City proper. I got home at 1am and sleep to think I still have 7am duty at morning hehe . Whatta day! It was a wrap! Thanks Meno family ♥♥

Aqua Fun at MAXIMA

August 30,2012

One of the best beach adventure I had was going to Maxima @ IGACOS. It was August 20,2012 when our family decided to trip-out in one of  IGACOS famous resort. Excited as we are, since no one of us have been to this place before, it was all first time! hehe

Going to Maxima can be via bus or boat. We chose boat since its hassle free and direct to the resort itself. We went to Sta. Ana Wharf  near Magsaysay Park @ 7:30 am but the boat is still 9:00am (excited?) so, we've waited. The boat capacity was 70 persons and it traveled twice a day only (going to maxima and going back @ 4:00 pm ). It was 30 minutes ride going to the resort and en route, our eyes wandered to the vast see and to the island of IGACOS.

FEELING CAPTAIN!!
WHILE WAITING ON SOME LATE PASSENGERS!
Mr. Sunshine was in its peak when were finally near the resort, and my heart beat faster and got excited more when I saw the slides! haha :)

ONE OF THE WATER SLIDES
PICTURE TAKING WITH LITTLE  COUSINS :)
As we walk down the boat going to the entrance, the process was challenging :) The bridge is not supported below by a concrete foundation, I think it was supported with big drums? so it floats. When your going to step on the bridge, tendency is it will move and you may lost balance so, hold on the railings tightly or else, you'll fall to the water hahaha

THE CHALLENGING BRIDGE!

Entrance fee is php200 for adult, php150 for 5-12 years old and below 5 years old is free. Inclusion of open cottages, unlimited slide with free used of life vest, and take note, its not allowed to swim if you will not wear one. The blue water part was estimated 120 feet. :)

THE OTHER WATER SLIDE
My little cousins enjoyed swimming and we don't worry much of drowning since their wearing life vests :)

we also headed to the banana boat and unluckily we cannot go up LOL

I CAN'T JUMP HERE.. HEHE
TIRED BUT STILL SMILE ^.^
I only did once the slide since after it,the back of my left leg was really hurt and ended up with a large bruise:( Did it only for experienced, but to tell you honestly I was really scared at the slide ahaha.

Canopy walking was also part of the outdoor adventure in Maxima. Again, I need to conquer my fear of heights lol. Basically shouting was really blatant haha and my guide wasn't really guiding me at all! He is busy with the first three individual and I got irritated at him also. However, I just did my best in crossing on to the bridge with shaky legs lol. And the last part was a tree drop and I think it is even more scary than canopy walk! :P

The verdict?? I enjoyed it though my leg was injured and got SUNBURN!! :)

IGACOS 2: Hagimit Falls

July 26,2012
.......
After the Monfort Bat Cave / Sanctuary experienced (here) we headed up to Hagimit Falls at Penaplata, IGACOS.
Again, we need to ride on a motorcycle grr.. a little longer travel, somehow the road was concrete so it was not butt aching. We paid php 60.00 from Bat Cave to Hagimit :). It was an admirable day and the sun was up and I'm sweating a little. So I'm just really excited to be in the place and to jump off the water :-) .

SOME STORES OUTSIDE
When we arrived at the place, were not anymore shocked. haha What I mean is that, the entrance fee wasn't that very pocket aching lol. Entrance fee was php 40.00 (the price I'm expecting). Anyhow if you want snacks to pig in, you can buy some on the stores outside.
But before you can go to the falls itself (various ones present) you need to trek a little, don't worry its going down and concrete stairs are present. hehe I love the feeling of nature here. :) I love the greens, all are alive!
DORA, ESTE JOANN F. HEHE

WELCOME LADIES! :)

MY TWINS TIRED
Goofing around the place, we've noticed some bizzare formations and designs. So we let our cameras get busy! I'll let the pictures do the talking here ^.^

A BIT CREEPY PIC HERE

ETO NA MGA PARS AND MARS!

ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOT :)  WHAT THEY CALL THE "HYDRO MASSAGE"

Anyhow the water that time wasn't pleasing to my eyes. I have doubts to dive in. The water's color seems extinct. (dead? meh ganun!) So I just spent time wetting myself and enjoying the hydro massage :) A body reviving massage from the motorcycle ride but, cause me at end HEADACHE!!!huhu. Somehow the scenery is great! I can sleep here the whole afternoon! LOL

One thing that we noticed here is that, the place was divided into different resorts/owner. So you have choices where to stay and pick up cottages (necessary for your things) but you can swim anywhere you like. Mahal Forest Resort was our choice and we've paid the cheapest cottage (umbrella type one) of php 70.00 haha, inclusive used of shower room and any of their amenities.

THE UMBRELLA COTTAGE

MAHAL'S  OWN EXIT- ONLY FOR THEIR GUESTS

THE TOP VIEW

AND WERE GOING HOME :)

From Hagimit to Home ?? HEADACHE is still present :(
Maybe because of my growling tummy that time. LOL
But, a day after Joann got skin rushes tsk2...

IGACOS 1: Monfort Bat Cave / Sanctuary

July 24,2012

Since the plan for Gumasa didn't come to reality, me and Joann had our plan B, and this is our agenda :

WHAT : Monfort Bat Cave / Sanctuary and Hagimit Falls
WHEN : July 21, 2012
WHERE : Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS)

Since its weekend and to avoid rushing and queuing people, me and Joann met up at Magsaysay Park, Sta. Ana Davao City to wait for the bus going to IGACOS. Our first stop was Monfort Bat Cave at Brgy. Tambo Babak, IGACOS. The bus fare going to Babak proper was php 30.00 and from there to the Bat Cave is php 30.00 per person via motorcycle. Motorcycle is the commonly used transportation in the city so I have no choice but to ride on it though I was really scared haha.

THE ADVENTURE STARTS HERE! (ON THE MOTORCYCLE HUHU)
It was a bumpy ride en route to the site since the road was under construction. So it heightened more my anxiety riding the motorcycle and we didn't used helmet LOL. My butt and my legs was really stressed that time :( anyhow, not more than 20 minutes you'll be there.

ENTRY ^.^
JUST ARRIVED- PAYING MOMENTS (SHOCKED MODE!! WHAT??!!)
Arriving and upon paying the entrance fee, we are really shocked because of the php 100.00 fee! Darn. We thought it was just php 40.00- 50.00 hays, we have no choice or else.. haha . They've increase since November last year due to lack of government support/ funds since it was a private property spot. Thank God, I brought extra cash huhu.

WITH TWIN SISSY JOANN F.!
Anyhow moving on, the place was big ( I never thought so ), and I was amazed to know that MBC/S is a Guiness Book record holder due to the number of  rousettus amplexicaudatus the kind of bat that stays there.

Last 2006 the sanctuary was awarded and during that time the estimated number of bats was 1.8 million how much more now??! So how did they came up with that 1.8 million? According to Emerry one of the staff there, the way of getting that number was to count a number of bats in a one square meter multiply it to the total square area of the cave cool!  hahaha :)

THE ENTRANCE TO BATMAN'S HIDING PLACE LOL
A LITTLE TREKKING
I was overwhelmed with what I saw! super dami nila! That little color black hanging in the walls of the cave give me goosebumps! LOL. eehh

The place was noisy and smelly due to the bat's population and poos (that is used as fertilizers also) Though I really want to touch and hold that little batman but prohibited.

However, sightseeing of bats is not the only activity we've done there. Because of the php 100.00 entrance fee that caught us off guard we made "sulit nalang" the payment. We took pictures galore, went on to the bat exhibit hall, chill time with Emerry who is very talkative and even got to see and know the owner Ms. Monfort, and of course enjoy the beauty of nature.

THE JUMPSHOT TURNS OUT TO BE SERIES SHOT HAHA IKAW NA!

AT THE BAT EXHIBIT HALL

BABY BAT LOST IN THE C.R.

IN AWE.. HOW BEAUTIFUL HAYS :)

:) After all the things we did here.. we now bid goodbye and went on to our next stop!
