Tuesday Thoughts

February 28,2012

THE ONLY REAL FAILURE IN LIFE IS THE FAILURE TO TRY.
Fear of Failure must never be a reason not to try something,
cause you know the greatest barrier to success is the fear of it!
there is no failure- just experiences and your reaction to them.
Success builds character, failure reveals it thus, no secrets to success.
It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from your failure.
Another life's real failure is when you do not realize how close you were
to success when you gave up. Just think of this, no failures and challenges?
 then Life's gonna be bland!
Imperfections and failures are much blessing from God as like successes and talents :)
Often the difference between a successful person and a failure is not one has better
abilities or ideas, but the courage that one has to bet on one's ideas, to take calculated risk-and to act.

I Need to Let Go

February 13,2012

Dear ChocNut ,

It was then when I was still a little girl I met you. Starting on that point in time I never let you out of my mind!  Not a single moment in life I wasn't able to forget you, does not ceased to function the brain cells of my head! You put a smile on my face always it never fails! I like to go out with my friends because that's the time I will spend a wonderful day with you, together with Hello, Serge, Bobot and Kitkat. Kids and adults loved you so much cause your so down to earth. It never costs them a lot to have you- just a cent and the experienced was heaven! It was cloud nine to be with you sweetie, I will always cherish the moments you touches my lips and satisfies me a lot. I then promise come hell and high water you will never be forgotten-words getting saccharine. The moments I'm with you cause me to gain a lot of weight. I don't like my body now, I was so plumb, but you loved it more than anything else, you love it that way cause you know your the culprit to all of this. Then come a time I ask myself "Can I let go of you?". I guess I'm old enough to handle all the situation without you. I know if I keep putting myself and too attached with you, I'll develop an ill fitting disease in the future that I may regret soon. You know the "D" one that causes lots of complications. Just don't be sad sweetie we will still meet each other and still satisfy me but that wouldn't be always. I'll limit our connections, if I see you I would not mind going near to you, or worst case I will put a barrier between us- a hurtful decision I need to stand firm. Don't worry, someone will still love you just keep your hearts to those little kids who wishes to be with you. I, who was like them before know the exact feeling. As it is that having our goodbyes seems to be the saddest word- I just really need to set you free. But I tell you, your the best Chocolate ever! ^.^

February

 February  , 2012

Its already February dolls! It started few days back ^.^ the "red" month where all may turn color red on the eyes of an in love! :) sounds really corny but that would be very true to an emotional individual like me LOL! hey! I'm not telling you I'm in love but that falls on reality sweetie ^.^ I think the boyfriends already planning where to date and treat their girlfriends. I'm talking here in general dolls, its not necessary that only couples has the right to celebrate and be happy with that day! hahaha I'm not bitter but loving someone does not talk only on opposite sex or same sex O-O but also with your family and friends of course, the most important individuals. :) Being curious on Valentines Day I was thinking where and when did it started?? hmm.. So I've tried to search and found this information ^.^ I know you can always search this on net, but for you to be hassle free already, just read my blog haha . So, sit back and relax and be idle just for this moment hehe

Every February 14th, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint and why do we celebrate this holiday? We’ve found 2 different legends ... Enjoy!

The first legend, and perhaps the best known, began in Rome, when the Emperor, Claudius II, was involved in many bloody and unpopular campaigns. “Claudius the Cruel” as he was called, was having a difficult time getting soldiers to join his military leagues. He believed that the reason was that Roman men did not want to leave their loves or families. So, he cancelled all marriages and engagements in Rome!

The good Saint Valentine, who was a priest in Rome, in the year 269 A.D., together with his friend Saint Marius, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret.
When Valentine's actions were discovered, he was sentenced to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off.
But while in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl, who may have been his jailor's daughter, who visited him during his confinement. Before his death on the 14th day of February, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed

" From your Valentine"
In 496 A.D., Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honor St. Valentine.

Another legend says that Valentine's Day started ...

in ancient Rome, on February 14th, a holiday to honor Juno. Juno was the Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. The Romans also knew her as the Goddess of women and marriage. Then, the following day, February 15th, began the Feast of Lupercalia.
In those days, the lives of young boys and girls were strictly separate. However, on the eve of the festival of Lupercalia, the names of Roman girls were written on slips of paper and placed into jars. Each young man would draw a girl's name from the jar and would then be partners for the duration of the festival with the girl whom he chose. Sometimes the pairing of the children lasted an entire year, and often, they would fall in love and would later marry.

In the United States, Miss Esther Howland is given credit for sending the first valentine cards. Commercial valentines were introduced in the 1800's and now ... well .. you know the rest....

So, did you fall in love already?? hahahaha

Visiting Davao Crocodile Park

February 7,2012
Ive felt I was a kiddo again! ^.^
I have something to tell you, my little confession, can you keep it a secret?? haha
here it is .. don't laugh or smile at me!
I never seen a CROCODILE ever in my life . BOO!
a little shamefulness but I guess I never missed a part of my life not able to see one lol!!
but, given some opportunity to seen one would be perfect!!!
so, how did I saw one?? a croc was lost in a neighborhood lolz just kidding ^.^
a little off on my joke haha
Seriously, last February 4,2012 during our extravagant water rafting Ive seen a crocodile.
Hey! not on the river dude but on Davao's very own Crocodile Park ^.^
Just my luck that the office for rafting adventure is located inside the park, they accommodate a little room there where equipments for rafting are located.  Anyhow, I don't want to elaborate more on our rafting adventure since I made another post on it, click here, lets focus on Croc park experienced ^.^

I was excited to see a CROCODILE! My friend Manny and Joann brought me to Pangil's captive area (the largest croc captive on the park) but during that time Pangil was sleeping and the water was high. I only saw his tail and eyes at the surface of the water.

..............................................................................................
after our rafting we went back to Pangil's place and saw him. He was so scary! O-O

Pangil was known to be an 18feet crocodile.. who boars 50 kilogram of meat during feed time gee.
Every afternoon Pangil has a show ^.^ so here's the video

After Pangil's show we walked around and see this very cuteeeee baby tiger haha ^.^

we found this 7 weeks cub roaming around the room with his baby sitter haha yes! he has a baby sitter.
super cute! his like a baby tiger stuff toy! as Joann stated "ang sarap iuwi sa bahay" haha cge, try mo Jo hehe

I was kinda hesitant to go near this bird, his like gonna bite you with his sharp beak!

while Joann tries to talk to the bird ahaha joke! ^.^

when the tiger sits down ^.^

and when he stands up! LOL

Just goofing around ahahaha parang kakainin talaga anu? haha

White Water Rafting

 FEBRUARY 6,2012

At last! the most awaited water rafting comes to reality ^.^ Last February 4,2012 me with my two single buddies, Joann and Manny decided to take the adventure of water rafting at Davao Wild Water Adventure. We planned it for almost 3 months and now were just very excited to try it! We've met up at Red Cross Roxas near Ateneo and got free ride up to Crocodile Park ^.^ It was about 20 minutes ride to Croc Park and thoughts vomiting on my mind. I want to see a CROCODILE! haha (i'll make another post about crocodile park):P Shame to say but I haven't seen one, so coming there would be a chance to see Pangil (the biggest captive crocodile at that park). But, before doing that we went first at the orientation room (the main event for this day) for rafting where we sign up waivers , get our helmets and life vests and being oriented about water rafting guidelines.

during the orientation

After the orientation and videos we've watch, one of the staff fits us the right helmets and vests ^.^

Manny's Angels!

^.^
We then went outside to put our things inside our service jeep, our transportation going to Calinan, where Davao river was located ^.^

Jump Shot!

with the other group and our guides during jump shot

After the funny picture taking we boarded the jeep and traveled 45 minutes going to the site ^.^ En route, I knew the other groups name like Mr. Dennis and his guest from Manila Alvin and Mr and Mrs Wallace. During the ride we talked mostly about Davao on how wonderful and livable the city was. The couple appreciates how the government works here. I know our city has strict rules and if you're such a hardheaded then you'll be in jail haha. Nonetheless, we've also talked about adventures, that life would be boring if we wouldn't enjoy what our environment has to offer like having some fun adventure (like this one), traveling  and meeting new people ^.^ After almost an hour we arrived to our destination .

everyone was preparing, staffs prepared our rafts and equipments ^.^

our group was also busy putting up some sunblock on our skins :)

with our guide Mac2x teaching us the kinds of paddling, my favorite?? the paddle forward hard! :)

loving always my two single buddies ♥

After the site orientation, we finally get into the water and started to get wet. hehe We practiced how to rescue someone who falls on the raft and of course Manny's favorite the drills!  We water fight with the other group just so enjoying each others company.

enjoying great time with the other group

practiced on how to rescue someone who falls out of the raft :)

drill time! where we voluntary jump off the raft and do the defensive swims on these rapids. Seems like were going to drown right? but no, we have life vests! lolz Its just like drinking a lot of river water and hitting your butt on the rocks! haha Just so stunning to know that at the end of the rapids there we saw the carabao enjoying the river water (you got what i mean) haha!!

and now I'll let the pictures do the talking hehe. These are some of my favorite shots while passing on some river rapids.

where we hit this big rock and make ourselves stand in balance ^.^ HIGH FIVE!

YEAH! Splash time dude!

I super LOVED this shot as in! So intense baby!
...................................................................................................
of course, our guide give us some time to enjoy the river ^.^ swimming-swimming

he also gives us some time to relax inside the raft when we passed a calm river lol
we even saw children in the river bank looking on us and we say or hello's ^.^

its so green! I loved it ^.^ appreciate Davao River and the nature around :)

chilling during lunch break! Manny was emoting at the side lol

happy times with our funny guide! I will miss you Mac haha :)

the unlucky me! who got wounded during capsized  :((

and of course, Ive tried kayaking! haha

and after going around for 4 hours in the river, we finally ended our river journey! haha the SURVIVORS!!

the three wonderful paddlers! haha

and yours truly, YSAY with abrasions on the knee!!

This is the video where our raft capsized and where I got my wound!!!darn
